For a business that works with large corporation, then a more professional name badge should be used for. For a more lay back business you can get as creative with color and everything that you choose to include in a name badge. It is amazing how a little name badge can have such an affect on your business.
It will improve everything from the interaction between you clients and employees, to the work ethic of your employees. How can a little badge with your name on it do all this one might ask? Well being that we are feel more comfortable when we address someone by name, with clients identify with your employees by name, it will only improve the relationship between client and employee. If you that relationship is better, then your business will only improve.
Employee work ethic would probably improve as well. When employees have name tags instead of being another worker, they will feel apart of your company. Plus with employees name on display for everyone to see, it builds a greater sense of accountability. When employee have that sense of accountability the will be more amped to perform to their highest standards.
